Okay but picture this: an AU Where Crookedkit gradually reforms Mapleshade just really because of his overall goodness, and she becomes like his best friend, the cat he turns to when he’s worried about Oakheart, etc

Bonus: -Crookedkit being comforted by her, quietly telling her that he’s so grateful he has one good mom

-Mapleshade breaking down when he’s worried if he’s bad because she’s just awful and she tells him what she’s done and he tells her it doesn’t matter anymore, she’s better now

-Mapleshade is the first cat he tells about Willowbreeze expecting kits, and that he’s deputy!

-Maple comforting him when Oakheart dies because who does he have left? She gently reminds him about Silverkit

-Mapleshade meets him on the border after Silverstream’s death like in the comic, but instead of threatening she promises that she’ll try her best to watch over Silvestream’s kits even when he’s gone

-in StarClan, they have conversations through the border and Crookedstar is kind of looked down on because he’s talking to a murderer

-they are the same size because Crookedstar is a freaking mountain of a cat (FLOOF) And Mapleshade is like taller than everyone else E V E R

-Crookedstar annually brings her kits to the border so they can spend time with her, and Mapleshade can never bring to words how much that means to her
